I'd love to know the history of the free church at Bogallan. I presume it is no longer used. Does anyone know when it was built. My interest is that my great great grandfather was born in Munlochy in 1812 and worked at old Allangrange House. It is possible that in those days people walked to church from there. I live in Australia and last year visited Munlochy but did not see the church.
The church was built in 1888 for the use of the Knockbain community. It has been used for special events for a long time, however recently it has been sold to be converted. the church itself is not in Munlochy, but in Bogallan which is located 3miles outside of the village on the way to inverness. it is most likely that he attended at Munlochy church on the edge of Munlochy since this church was not built for some years.
